This year I was in charge of planning the Harare International School's Family Fun Day. I had about two weeks to plan the entire event, but it was a great day and I think a great kick-off to start the new school year. It should have involved lots of teachers, but only a few showed up unfortunately. But the good news is, there were lots of parents and lots of kids. And even the Marines showed up to have some fun with the kids. Again, it was a long and somewhat difficult process to plan, but it ended up great and by the looks of it, they ALL had a great time.
Note to self- it's always good to volunteer your time. However, next time I might need a little more time than 2 weeks to plan an event for 500 kids and all their families. Ha!
Chase doing the obstacle course with the Marines and Daddy.
Water Slides!
Yes, the kids are beating Tom and I. Ha!
Daddy doing his best to help Chase and the boys win the Tug of War
Mommy and Hannah doing the 3 legged Race
And finally, Chase playing his first soccer game. His first time even attempting the sport, but he HAD to play. Obviously you can tell he is the smallest, but he did not mind a bit. That is of course until he got hit flat in the head with the ball. He tried to play it off, but it just hurt a little too bad.
Poor Guy.
Thanks Honey for ALL your help!! You deserve to take a break.
